DAY 01GUWAHATI TO DIMAPUR
Upon your arrival at Guwahati, our representative will receive you and begin the scenic drive towards Dimapur — gateway of Nagaland. The drive takes you through lush green hills, winding mountain roads and rustic villages of Assam. Upon reaching Dimapur, settle in your hotel and spend the evening at leisure, preparing for the exciting days ahead.

DAY 02DIMAPUR TO KISAMA · OPENING CEREMONY
Start early to avoid traffic congestion in Kohima because of the opening ceremony. Have breakfast on the way and head to Kohima. Head to your campsite, settle down and walk to the festival ground — vehicles are not permitted in and around the arena and the campsite is about 600m from the arena. Explore the traditional morungs, engage with locals and soak in the atmosphere. At around 4:30pm, witness the grand opening ceremony and enjoy the music, people, culture and everything the festival offers.

DAY 03HALF DAY AT HORNBILL · KHONOMA VILLAGE · EVENING AT HORNBILL
Post breakfast, head to the Hornbill ground and explore the festival, interact with the tribes and enjoy the activities and cuisine. Visit the morungs and experience the performances. At 12:30pm, head to Khonoma village, famously known as India’s first green village. A local guide will take you through its historical forts and share stories of the Angami Naga resistance, including their encounters during World War II. Return to the festival ground by evening, then head back to camp for dinner and a bonfire.

DAY 04TREK TO DZUKOU VALLEY
After an early breakfast, drive to the base point and begin your trek to Dzukou Valley. A local guide accompanies you throughout the trek. The trek takes approximately 5 hours, beginning with a moderately steep uphill climb through forested trails followed by a gradual walk into the expansive valley. Reach the valley, pitch your tent with assistance and spend the evening witnessing the landscape and sunset.

DAY 05RETURN FROM DZUKOU · EVENING AT HORNBILL
Wake up early for sunrise and the cloud-bed effect. After breakfast, descend back to the campsite. Freshen up and rest, then head to the festival ground for one last time. Visit the bamboo pavilion, organic market and flower exhibition, and later attend the evening concert and soak in the local beats.

DAY 06BACK TO GUWAHATI
After breakfast, start your drive back to Guwahati. On reaching Guwahati, you will be dropped at a hotel near the airport, as catching a flight the same day will not be possible. Rest well and catch your flight the next day at your convenience. Your trip concludes with memories of Nagaland’s landscapes, culture and hospitality.
